Making photographs in the day's best light is wonderful. For one thing, you've got a full range of exposure settings to work from. When it comes to hours just before dawn and past sunset though, many a photographer won't even try. The camera goes in the bag. If it doesn't, a strobe is stuck atop and the photographer just fires away. Or - ISO gets bumped to a six-digit figure. Either way, the results are frequently disappointing.

Throughout this valuable course you'll be introduced to and practice alternative techniques for producing photographs with impact, using a minimum of light. In fact, you'll become so good at doing so; you might never venture into full sunlight with your camera again!

What you will need:

Lesson plan:
  • Exposure settings for when the sun goes down
  • Hands or no hands – holding it steady
  • “Flash” is not a dirty word
  • Hey buddy, got a match? – Effective use of the light you have
